Chicken recipes are always mouth-watery and most of the time very easy to prepare. Pepper chicken is one among the very easy chicken recipes. This recipe needs the basic ingredients to get the spicy chicken. Recipe relies mainly on pepper to give the hot and spicy touch to the dish. A very warm dish during this chill winter season.
Coarse-grounded pepper coated over the chicken will take us to another world where we can see chicken alone. Sharing with you here my favorite pepper chicken – easy to prepare recipe.
Pepper Chicken / Spicy Pepper Chicken
Spicy chicken coated with coarse-grounded pepper.
- 1/2 kg Chicken
- 3 no Big Onions
- 1 no Tomato
- 1 strip Curry leaves
- 1 tbsp Ginger-Garlic Paste
- 1 tsp Garam Masala Powder
- 2 tbsp Pepper
- Salt as needed
- Chilli powder optional
- 1 tbsp Oil
Wash the chicken and set aside.
Chop onions and tomato.
Heat oil in a pan and add chopped onions and curry leaves.
Saute until onion turns translucent. Then add ginger-garlic paste. Mix well.
Add chopped tomato and cook until mushy.
Add garam masala powder and add chilli powder (optional). Mix them well.
Add chicken to it. Mix well.
Saute for a minute and close with a lid to cook chicken on its own juice.
Wait for 5 to 10 minutes, checking in between to not burn them out.
Once chicken absorbs its own juice, add water to it.
Close with a lid and cook chicken well.
Grind pepper in a mixie coarsely.
Once chicken is cooked well, add coarse pepper powder to it and mix well.
Pepper spiced chicken is ready to serve hot with roti, chappathi, naan, ghee rice, or even as a snack.
Either gravy or dry, it's your wish. You can dry them well to give it as a snack or can retain some water to get pepper chicken gravy.
