Easy Chicken Gravy

Chicken Gravy – all time favorite for non-veg lovers.

This is an easy to prepare tasty chicken gravy. No long procedure.

The ingredients which we are using here are the regular ones that will be always available in our home, but yet a very tasty recipe.

The whole recipe takes about 1 hour, but in that, our preparation time is only 15 to 20 minutes.

Let’s start with the simple steps for an easy recipe.

Simple easy steps for a chicken gravy

Servings 4

Ingredients

  • 500 kg Chicken
  • 2 no Big Onions
  • 1 no Tomato
  • 5 to 6 no Garlic - Big
  • Curry leaves, coriander leaves, mint leaves optional
  • 1 tbsp oil
  • Chilli powder as per need
  • 1/2 tsp Turmeric powder
  • Salt as per taste

Masala:

  • 2 inch Cinnamon stick
  • 5 no Cloves
  • 1 tsp Pepper corns
  • 1 tsp Cumin seeds
  • 2 tsp Fennel/Saunf

Instructions

  1. Wash the chicken thoroughly and keep aside.

  2. Chop onion, tomato, garlic finely.

    Grind the masala items in a mixer.


Gravy method

  1. 1. Take a pan and add 1 tbsp of oil.

    2. Add curry leaves.

    3. Add onion and garlic, and fry for a few minutes until they become translucent.


  2. 4. Add mint leaves to it.

  3. 5. Add tomato to it and add some salt. Cook until the tomato gets pureed.

  4. 5. Add chicken to it.

    6. Add chilli powder, grinded garam masala powder, and turmeric powder.

  5. 7. Mix them all well.

  6. 8. Add enough water for cooking chicken. Check in between for water level. If the chicken is not cooked, add some water/hot water in between.

  7. 9. Place a lid to cover and cook until the chicken is soft enough. It may take around 30 minutes depending on the size of the whole chicken.

  8. 10. Now juicy, tender, tasty chicken is ready to be served. It suits well with both rice as well as chappathi.
